Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before the first conversation.

Custom work should not mean vague expectations. Here is how we think about fit, price, ownership, integrations, and the relationship.

What is a custom business operating system?

It is a private digital system designed to organize and connect the parts of your business that need to work together. Depending on your operation, that may include leads, customers, estimates, jobs, employees, scheduling, timekeeping, quality review, equipment, invoicing, payments, and reporting.

Is this just a CRM?

No. CRM can be one part of it, but the system may extend through the full operating workflow. The goal is one clear place to understand what happened, what is happening, and what needs attention next.

Can you replace Jobber, Housecall Pro, or other software?

Sometimes replacing a tool may make sense; other times keeping and integrating a tool is the better decision. We evaluate the workflows, available integrations, cost, risk, and what is practical. We do not claim every outside service can or should be replaced.

Can I keep using software I already like?

Yes. A custom system should not recreate a tool that already serves you well without a good reason. Where practical, we can evaluate how an existing tool fits into the broader workflow.

Will the system work on my phone?

Yes. Employee and management workflows are designed to be responsive. The specific mobile experience depends on what each person needs to do in the field.

Do you build every feature from scratch?

No. We use reliable infrastructure and third-party services where they are a good fit, then build the business-specific experience and workflow around them. This can include services such as Stripe for payments.

What if I need something you have not built before?

Let’s discuss it. We will determine what can be built, what is responsible to support, and whether it makes sense for your operation. We do not make an unlimited “anything is possible” promise.

Who owns my business data?

Your business data remains yours. Project agreements will spell out access, export, retention, and responsibilities for the particular system before work begins.

What happens if I stop using Pebble Creek Media?

The transition and data-export terms will be defined in your agreement. Because systems vary, we avoid making a one-size-fits-all portability promise before the architecture and third-party services are known.

Can you build only my website?

Yes. Websites are available as a standalone service and do not require a custom operating system.

Can my website connect to my operating system?

Yes, when the systems and scope support it. When we build both, we can design the connection from the beginning—such as estimate requests, approvals, applications, customer forms, and payment pages.

How much does it cost?

Custom websites are generally $500–$1,500 depending on complexity. Operating system pricing is custom and may include an initial implementation, ongoing hosting and support, and additional agreed development. Combined projects receive package pricing based on scope.

How long does a project take?

Timing depends on scope, complexity, integrations, and how quickly feedback is available. A focused website can move much faster than a multi-workflow operating system. We provide a realistic project schedule after discovery.

Do I have to pay for a website I do not like?

We build a first version for review so you are not stuck paying for a direction you do not want. If the direction is wrong, you do not pay for a website you do not want. Approval, payment, and usage terms are confirmed before launch.
