PEBBLE CREEK MEDIA — SELF-HOSTING GUIDE Your approved starter website includes downloadable site files. Keep a backup of the complete delivery ZIP before making changes. 1. Review the handoff notes and confirm whether the delivered site is static HTML/CSS/JavaScript or needs a build/runtime. Use the supplied README for project-specific instructions. 2. Choose a host that supports that format. Upload the complete static output folder, including images and styles; use the host's documented build process for source projects. Hosting may cost money. 3. Test the temporary host address: open every page, navigation link and download on desktop and phone. Check that images load and all contact details are correct. 4. Forms need a working receiving service or backend. Configure it following the handoff notes and provider instructions, then submit a test you can verify. Do not collect customer information through an unconfigured form. Outside services may charge fees. 5. Buy or connect your domain separately. Follow your host's DNS and HTTPS instructions. Preserve existing email DNS records. Keep your previous site available until the new site is verified. 6. After connecting the domain, check HTTPS, every page, forms and redirects again. Keep backups and renew your domain and hosting as needed. Self-hosting is optional. Domains, outside services and third-party hosting are not promised free. Ask for a scoped quote if you want us to handle hosting or ongoing changes.
